Emcee wedding script4/11/2024 ![]() I think I’ve had the good fortune to meet most of you here today at some point or another, but for those of you whom I haven’t met, my name is. I know how deeply these two care for and love one another, and I feel privileged to be here today among all of you as a witness of their commitment to a lifetime of love for one another. But about X years ago s/he met NAME, who is pretty wonderful, too. For NAME, that happened about 20 years ago when s/he met me and we became best friends. The person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationships and becomes something so pure and so wonderful, that you can’t imagine spending another day of your life without them. The person who makes the world a beautiful and magical place. The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete. I truly can’t think of a better venue than _ for an occasion that I know is not only monumental for the wedded couple to be but for all of us who are lucky to know and love them as individuals but even more so as a perfect pairing. It’s no accident that each of you is here today, and each of you was invited to be here because you represent someone important in the individual and collective lives of NAME and NAME. What do you guys think of these ideas? Of course it entirely depends on the crowd. Here are some funny things that I have seen at previous weddings. We are lucky we won’t be MC’ing alone! I am not planning to be a completely phoney the whole evening, just was looking for some inspiration for ideas to incorporate a few jokes. also, I do recognize the best jokes are personal stories that are about the bride and groom.I also plan to write an introduction, to welcome guests and briefly state how I know the bride. I was looking for advice regarding funny things that people have seen other people do at previous weddings, not advice that I should try to avoid being funny. I’m also going to think of some small story of the couple to keep in my pocket in case the jokes don’t seem to fit the mood. I think telling people my/your (good) first impressions of them would be a good way to go. I met both separatly so that should help kill some time if I need to do so. Going to write an intro, saying how I know the bride and groom. It’s something I’ve traded back and forth with the bride and also a normal thing for me, so hopefully they don’t fall too flat. I’m going to google some silly/lame jokes and have a sheet of them to handle any dead spaces. Dude, I’m in the same boat! Bumping to follow along, and also to share my thoughts so far. ![]()
